Professional Landscape & Maintenance

If I could give negative stars I would! We have completely been taken advantage of by Diablo Pools Mike Soares and Jorge Villasenor (Professional Landscape). We have an unfinished/abandoned contract. Our pool elevation is set too high. We have 25 ft of sloped concrete toward our home with a 1inch deco drain that cannot support rain/pool water. The slope is almost 7in from pool to back door. When we showed Jorge the video of the flooding that occurred in our patio from a 20 rain storm he agreed that there should be no standing water. Mike Soares is refusing to fix this massive problem they created in my backyard. My contract was signed 10/20/21 its now 9/25/21 and I have unfinished and defective work. Mike Soares has been extremely unprofessional. Including a phone call screaming profanities at me as if this is my fault. I felt very abused and threatened. Diablo Pools has violated many contract and building codes with the CSLB on our project! We are beyond disappointed! I wouldnt recommend Diablo Pools Mike Soares or Jorge Villasenor (Professional Landscape) to my worst enemy! Beware! They will take your money and leave you with a big mess! The work started good and was done in a timely manner. The problem is, once tge work is done, good luck getting him to come back. We had a large amount of concrete done in February of 2021, we have been reaching out to him since MAY due to major cracking. The cracking is now happening all over and many of the cracks are so large, we could fit a quarter even a nickel in them and they span the entire area. He keeps putting us off in coming to take a look and decide on repair and replacement. It is extremely unprofessional of him to continue to blow us off. This kind of treatment leads me to believe he is no longer concerned as he has been paid. Concrete should not be cracking this soon and ALL OVER! Hopefully, he gets back to me asap so I don't need to escalate the issue.

I wanted to share my experience with this company in the hope that it will help others avoid the same issues. The pool company that I used contracted with Jorge to do some of the work, including the concrete for the project. The work they did for the pool company was average, and the concrete around the pool has substantial cracking all over. I also contracted Jorge to do the landscaping project at my home. Jorge continually promised to get work completed and I had to call him dozens of times to follow up and get anything done. This went on for months and he just stopped coming and calling me back. He never finished the job and didnt have the decency to even call me back. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I know contractors are busy, and I would have been understanding if he would have just communicated. Ultimately, his guys worked intermittently over about four months and never completed the job. I still have empty holes in the yard where trees and plants were supposed to be planted, incomplete electrical, and a non-existent patio cover that was supposed to be installed. If I was to do this again I would not pay him anything until the job is totally complete.

I had this service for years. Started out great and then went south. Non responsive to phone calls and emails. I sold my house did not recommend to new owner.

Funny how people put in a review and don't leave a name. If you have an opinion, at least sign your name to it buddy... I had our yard done, and so did one of our neighbors. Both my yard and their yard looked great from day 1 and still do today!!! I would highly recommend Jorge!
