Awaken Cafe & Roasting

I love this Awaken place in downtown scary Oakland. It happened that I study near by and this place is a saver for my stomach I usually take half avocado toast - last time it was too little of Avocado though. I am wondering what is going on ? This is an Avacado toast and not a bread toast). However, the bread is delicious as well as coffee. Wide range of choice from classic to various tasty ones like Lavender latte. I believe they also have their own bakery and pastry is delicious and hopefully natural. Overall good service and atmosphere, just change your Avacado vendor)). Thank you

An amazing local spot for coffee and conversation. I visited Oakland and a good friend and native insisted that we stop by. I'm so glad we did!!! It has an awesome atmosphere and real baristas making real drinks. Our batista was cool, skilled and sociable. We had a great conversation while he made our drinks real time! In a world where coffee is made by machines, it was great to have the human touch!
