I have nothing but great things to say about my time living at 281 MacArthur. Our apartment was spacious with great new finishes, we were surrounded by warm and friendly neighbors, and lived in a great location next to the lake and Grand Ave/Lakeshore. Daniel and Siddharth were always super easy to communicate with and quick to resolve any issue we had.

This has been the best renting experience I have ever had! Daniel is communicative, responsive, friendly reasonable and easy to get ahold of. If a problem occurs, it immediately gets addressed. The lester apartments are beautiful and well kept. When we moved in 4 years ago, I literally gasped at how spacious these apartments are, the storage they came with and the tasteful terrazzo countertops. These properties are cared for and Its felt that having good relationship with their tenants is important to them. I know that its important to me to have our needs met as a tenant. I have always addressed problems as they occurred and I have been met with immediate action and appreciation that problems were raised right away. This isnt a rental company that just wants to take your money. They seem to want to build relationships and keep things functioning. This is a hard type of apartment manager/landlord to find in this day and age. One of my neighbors just moved here from LA and was blown away by her experience moving in and the fact that you cant find somewhere this updates and spacious in the Bay Area. The struggle is real when it comes to renting. Anyway, I have felt appreciated as a tenant by Daniel and have lived in my NIDO apartment with security and ease. Truly a wonderful experience.

We've been living here at Elgin for 6 years now almost paying market price for an older apartment with 0 upgrades. They raised the rent on us with only 1 month notice in April claiming everyone got a rent increase but we were the only ones with a piece of paper taped to our front door notifying us of an increase. Why we were the only ones targeted I have no idea but Daniel lied stating this when we asked another neighbor and they didn't get a rent increase. Expect a hundred or two increase in your rent every year for 0 upgrades in your apartment at Elgin street. Avoid NIDO properties and the apartments they run on Elgin Street, they're going to raise your rent the first chance they get and bend the rules for certain neighbors. Take your money and RUN somewhere else.
