California Canoe & Kayak at Jack London Square

My daughter and I had a good time. The shop is tidy and has a nice view. The attendants were kind and professional.  It was worth going to try it.

California Canoe & Kayak does not have rentals from Jack London Square.  That's my only negative.The shop at Brooklyn Basin was great, though.  It was easy to book and pay online.  They offer two hours of free parking, which was fine for our 90 minute outing.  The building is lovely, with very nice restrooms.Our kayak did not come with a dry bag, but we got our paddles and life vests and made our way to the water.  The views in the industrial area are not gorgeous, but it's nice to get out on the water, and build up an appetite to bring to Jack London Square.

I placed a online order thru their website. They charged my credit but I never received the order. When I check my account it shows the order is waiting to be shipped. I have emailed them multipletimes times with no response and called their phone and left multiple messages, again no respnse. I would give them zero stars except google doesn't allow this. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. After this review California Canoe & Kayak contated me immediately and we resolved my issue and they couldnt have nicer. All of my email inquiries that I had sent ended up in their spam folder. They were very apologetic.

Was in need of a hobie drive due to dropping mine in the lake so guys please tie off your drive or anything else you don't want to lose if your yak flips . Anyway my mistake Lesson learned. .  I searched everywhere for a drive and out of stock everywhere . I found one was in stock at CC&K so I called to verify and they first told me they didn't see it in inventory I was bummed then about 45 min later I get a call back and not only did they say it was available but offered me a used one at $200 off unfortunately it did not have the kickup fins from what a great sales man named Harley who explained to me the difference and also took care of me down to packing and shipping and delivery in 2 days . I recommend the service and product is 5 star for me . Great over all experience.
