Shirin has been doing our garden patio at the Carl Hotel for many years. She has a magic touch that none of the previous landscapers exhibited. Our guests often ask about the person responsible for creating such a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. We love our patio garden and are thankful to Shirin for the planning and her magic touch.

We first retained Shirin Bond in1983 to recapture the lost elegance of a Japanese garden at our Crocker Highlands (Oakland) rental home.  Shirin met with us to determine our needs, and she involved us at every stage of the process. The result was a lovely, child friendly garden that was appropriate to our relatively limited budget.When we completed renovation of our Glenview Craftsman some ten years later, we once again called on Shirin.  Although working with limited front and rear garden spaces, she produced a garden that was a real show stopper.   She installed a lovely hardscape, using redwood, flagstone, mulch, and other elements. The roses, redbud and magnolia trees, combined with a perennial garden of foxgloves and delphinium that had people literally knocking on the door to ask who had done the wonderful work.  What I most appreciated was her use of an ilex hedge to keep roving doggies at bay!When we moved to our one acre Napa Valley property in 1999, Shirin worked with us to develop a plan that allowed us to proceed on a phased in basis, as our time and budget allowed.  She has created a magnificent garden that maximizes the beauty of the various microclimates and our personal vision: a Rhododendron and Azalea dell, bamboo and Japanese maple shrouded meditation gardens, and a wonderful edible garden.   Shirin is a wizard at utilizing textures, colors, and diverse plants to provide year-round interest.Shirin is a consummate professional, who respects the vision, competence, and resources of her clients.  She produces timeless gardens that can be cared for by their owners (as is the case with ours), as well as those that she can maintain full time, or through occasional visits as necessary.We have recommended Shirin Bond Landscaping to countless friends in the highest terms and without reservation.  Indeed, when our son bought his home, he retained Shirin to design the garden!
