Honestly you can't beat the price, this is the least expensive hotel in downtown Oakland that's accessible by transit. It's a fine spot, not too loud usually, and rooms are a little outdated but fine and the showers are hot. The only downside for me personally is the beds are incredibly hard. I can usually sleep in any hotel without issue, but I was completely unable to sleep on these beds and needed to make a pillow nest to even hope of sleeping. If you're more of a firm mattress person, you'll love it.

Stayed here 4 nights, at around $150/night. The room was not cleaned even once. The breakfast
Is free but you have to pay for water what???
Im really concerned about the dirtiness of the rooms. The whole building smells vaguely of pee. I feel that the photos and description Ramada uses for advertising are deceptive.
I would really like some kind of refund for this situation. Cant wait to go home and take a shower.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE A CAR OR ARE NOT FROM THE AREA. My car got broken into and many items stolen - including important documents that I am currently working on re-obtaining. My partner and I drove almost 30+ hours for a work contract here in CA and were exhausted and needed to rest. The hotel reception did NOT warn us of the high theft and break ins despite asking for my drivers license and knowing that Im from out of state. They only informed me that the area is bad for break ins AFTER it already happened. NO POINT IN PAYING FOR PARKING HERE IF IT IS NOT SAFE AND NO VERBAL WARNING OR EVEN SIGNS. Shame on the staff - just because its common sense to you and youre numb to it, it does NOT mean you stop warning others whether they are local or tourists. Police does NOTHING either after requesting for an officer to come out for report. Shame on Oakland and Ramada

I checked in Friday 3/1, my room from the start was dirty. The trash was full, the towels were on the floor obviously used. The hot water didnt work, it was lukewarm at best. My boyfriend and I decided to shrug it off and the bed looked cleaned. So we went out and explored the city until 12 when we finally got into the bed
The bed was dirty. There were burn holes on the comforter, blood on the sheets and a skid mark. There were crumbs in the bed? We decided just to ask the front desk for new bedding and he gave us two sheets and told us thats all he can do. He then decided to come investigate the room and then came to our room to check it. Promptly when entering, accused us of smoking by saying so howd the burn hole get on the sheet. We then told him its apparent that nobody cleaned the room prior to us entering he said theyll clean it tomorrow and left. We only had one night stay.
The front desk did make it better by moving our rooms after I finally had enough and asked him to. He seemed irritated by us at that point. Im disappointed as I spend $110 on a dirty room with cold water. Im thankful he moved us room but that should have never happened in the first place.
