I sent an email on a Monday morning and received no reply by Thursday afternoon so I called. That is when I found out that Dr. Chau is only in Oakland for two hours on Mondays and Wednesdays in the middle of the afternoon-- he is in a Burlingame office in the mornings but drives from Burlingame to Oakland and then back to Burlingame. He probably spends more time driving than in the actual office. The woman answering the phones explained this to me, after explaining that they hadn't gotten back to me because "everything happens for a reason". I think it is a little bit of a misrepresentation to have him listed in Oakland if he is barely there.

We first went to Dr. Chau about 13 years ago for NAET treatments. That stands for Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique, based on the work of Devi Nambudripad. At around 18 months, my baby son had been suffering from asthma. I believe that the NAET allergy clearing work, applied by Dr. Chau and by Lynn Segura back in 2003, really helped my boy. His asthma was gone for 10 years. It recently came back and we are working with Dr. Chau again. After some treatments this past summer, my son's health is greatly improved. He was treated for environmental allergies and now we will start to work on food allergies. Dr. Chau is a good listener and gentle practitioner. In January of 2015, my son was in the hospital for 5 days with severe asthma, and now, after making improvements in our home environment as well as the work with Dr. Chau, he has survived his first cold of the season with no respiratory complications at all. I am hoping for a healthy winter for him with continued immune support mindfulness and more NAET work. He has inhalers, Flovent and Albuterol. I must say that Albuterol is certainly a lifesaver, I have experienced this with my own asthma as well as my son's. And the Flovent definitely helps reduce the occurrence and severity of asthma attacks. I just didn't want him to be on his Flovent inhaler forever and wanted to find alternative healing resources to help him get healthier. I highly recommend Dr. William Chau as a NAET practitioner. We see him at his office in Oakland at 27th and Telegraph. He has a thick binder there of many testimonials. He helps people with allergies, food sensitivities, headaches, migraines and many other ailments. He uses muscle testing as a diagnostic tool.
