Attorney Gaurav Bali was recommended to me by one of his former law school classmates for my family law case. His classmate said to me, I know the best attorney for your case, I have worked with him and I know he is great at resolving complicated disputes and cases. At the time I received this recommendation/referral, I had already been entrenched in family court litigation for over a year with another attorney. The issues were complicated and were not limited to child custody, real state, child support, spousal support, and restraining orders. My previous attorney tried to negotiate with my ex-husband's attorney but the negotiations never took us anywhere and the previous attorney was not listening to me about what I wanted. I felt that my previous attorney did not understand how to maneuver various legal angles that would benefit me. My ex-husband was telling falsehoods to put the attorneys and other people against me. At that time, I was raising my three-year-old son. I was trying to maintain a job and had already moved out of our house with my son to a room at a friends house. I was losing at all fronts, just because I couldnt defend myself quickly enough from all the allegations against me. I couldnt believe my previous attorney could not defend me at all. Then I made a change, and fortunately, Gaurav was willing to work on my case after the mess my previous attorney made. Gaurav gave a new beginning to my case and a different perspective that was long overdue. The first meeting with Gaurav, he quickly made me separate the emotional part of the divorce to focus on the facts. After listening to my story and the outcome I wanted, he said, We will do what is right and the truth shall prevail. At that moment I knew he was the right attorney for my defense. Over time, Gaurav addressed one issue at a time with the judge; and basically, he turned every aspect of my case to a favorable outcome. My case lasted two and half years and it ended in a way that I feel was the perfect result for me. Gaurav's help was priceless in my Child Custody case. Gaurav took the time to explain every legal ramification and helped me understand how to navigate through the family law system. With his expertise, I now have joint custody of my daughter with 60% timeshare. It is rare but Yes, I am a father who has MAJORITY of custody with my daughter. Once we settle the custody aspect , he also assisted me in setting child support BELOW the guideline amount. I have recommended him to my close friends for family law and they have all been very happy with his services.

-- POOR SERVICE, DOESN'T KNOW THE LAWY, NOT RECOMMENDED-- Even though the price looks attractive and speaks very well with clients, he screwed up my case by filing child custody modification case in the wrong case number by telling me that he will file it in one case and went ahead and filed it in wrong case without informing me. All my effort was screwed up with big loss, but collected the money without leaving a penny after screwing up my case with no guilt. He always works in last minute to file for anything, and that also with many calls and meetings to push him to file stuff. He doesn't know the child custody law and how to respond to clients and all the law points to favor the case. Always keep the clients in the edge of fear, so that the clients will be keep calling or emailing so that he can make good money. I would never recommend him to anyone, my current lawyer (Robert Menache) is an excellent in law point of view and also supporting the clients (even though that I lost the case due to Mr. Gaurav Bali screw up).
