This place is curse! Let me tell you, mostly everyone who moves in after 2 months there domestic violence going on. Cops pulling up because there's couples fighting. It's crazy. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything!

I applied for a one bedroom apartment recently at this location. I was told that I qualified, have great energy and my references would be called. Two days later, I had to call THEM for an update and they denied me because of my 'job hopping' (I relocated from LA to Bay Area for a permanent, higher paid job- Do people not do that ever?) and my student loans (which by the way, are all current because I pay on time!). Who doesn't have any debt? They did not call my references or even make a co-signer an option. Long story short, I feel cheated. They took my $40 (credit check fee) and provided lame answers as to why they did not want to rent from me. Stay clear. I should have know that this place was strange given the name of the building when it's definitely in East Oakland. What a waste.

This place is very cheap. It is a dream for those who do not have a lot of money. I have been living here for about 2 years. It is helpful economically. HOWEVER, the staff is always changing. I never know who I have to contact if I have a problem. I have had packages stolen. People do not know how to dispose of their trash and their recyclables. There has been a car bumper just sitting out in the parking lot....for a year....now it's by the trash...gone but never forgotten. My apartment also had a roach problem and it's only getting worse. Also, things are always falling apart. I have had many issues with bathroom flooding. The apartment is cheaply made. the floor would sometimes come apart...for no reason....AND there are many times when maintenance people come into your apartment without notice....or knocking....God forbid if I were to be getting freaky with my husband and accidentally give them a show. So, yeah. It's cheap....if you can live with it...go for it...
