Bel Aire Courtyard Apartments

I loved almost every minute of living at the Bel Air Courtyard Apartments!  I was there for two years, and it was a comforting home right away.  I worked from home for those two years, and the great location and rooftop lounge kept me sane during that time.  My only complaints would be that the smartphone laundry app requires a signal to use and can be finicky and a bit pricey, if you have a top floor unit it might get a bit hot in the summer, especially with the heat waves we've been having these past few years (no AC), and the floors are pretty thin (sound travels between them easily).  But that being said everything else about living here, from how wonderful and responsive the onsite manager Ming is, to how well furnished the Apartments are with entertainment consoles and a well thought out array of lights and mirrors, is a joy.  I'd move here again in a heartbeat.  Oh and say hi to your neighbors!  There is a great little community vibe here, and everyone I met was very kind.

My partner and I got very lucky when we found our apartment at Bel Aire. The building is very well maintained with beautiful outdoor spaces. The building felt very safe, many security cameras installed. The apartment itself had amazing light from the floor to ceiling windows and unique features such as dimmable lighting and built in entertainment center. The property manager is very helpful, kind and responsive. We will miss living there!! If you get a chance to live here, highly recommend you do!!

I recently got a tour from Robert, the owner, and was so impressed with the amount of care and attention to detail that has gone into this apartment complex! It's well maintained and clean and the courtyard garden is so serene and beautiful. New appliances. Hard-wood floors. Lots of closet space. Rooftop lounge. Quiet and relaxing place for working professionals.Robert really cares for the well-being and safety of his tenants, and was so approachable. While the timing didn't work out for my partner and I to move in, I had to still write this review, because I want some other lucky person to enjoy the unit and know that it's a lovely choice!

I've lived at Bel Aire Courtyard Apartments for over a year. The complex is clean, well maintained, and secure with Amazon lockers, and multiple security cameras set up throughout the building. Some unit highlights include hardwood floors, ample lighting, new appliances, and tons of overhead cabinet space. Onsite smartphone operated laundry is also a great convenience. The Adams Point neighborhood is safe, serene, and the apartments are a close walk to 19th St. BART station. Ming, the onsite building manager is super-attentive and helpful with quick repairs or favors (eg. watering plants when out of town). Robert, the owner is caring, responsive, proactive and keeps himself in the loop with everything. This is by far the nicest apartment I've lived in during my 7 years in Oakland and I highly recommend living here!

I lived at the Bel Aire Courtyard Apartments in a one-bedroom for two years. I can honestly say it was the best rental experience I've ever had start to finish. Robert Zolly, the owner, is a true professional and takes the utmost pride in maintaining/updating the building. The apartments themselves are clean, modern, and tastefully finished with crown molding, built-in entertainment cabinets, fresh paint, and other special touches. The building is meticulously maintained and landscaped. Ming, the onsite manager is a true GEM of a human being and is readily available to assist with any repairs or other issues, he even held packages for me when I was away...and his wife would watch my cat when I went out of town. The building and underground parking garage always felt safe, but they have recently installed a brand new video security system as well. The laundry room was also recently updated with new machines and a smartphone payment system, which is very convenient! The location in Adams Point is perfect. Two blocks up from Lake Merrit and a quick walk to Whole Foods. About a 15-minute walk to 19th street BART...if you still commute to work ;) The building also has a nice shared rooftop deck for outdoor space. Being a renter in the Bay Area can be difficult, and I am truly grateful to have landed in such a wonderful building. Recommend without reservation!
