My experience was very positive. Doctor Josh knows what he's doing and is specific to your injury and pain. I've seen countless Drs. and have yet to find someone who works with me and I feel better afterwards. Today I did and even though I'm a bit sore as he had me fire up muscles and he did PT while I was firing them up. No one had been that specific with me and I felt a difference in my body afterwards. Can't wait to do more. I have faith in my new journey.

My experience with Joshua Mazalian at physical therapy was nothing short of disastrous. During a session, he pushed me beyond my precautions, resulting in a hip dislocation. Instead of promptly calling for medical assistance, he shockingly instructed an unqualified staff member to attempt to put my hip back in place. This staff member resorted to searching for instructions on YouTube, which proved futile and incredibly irresponsible. The whole ordeal caused me significant pain and discomfort, which could have been avoided with proper care.To make matters worse, Joshua Mazalian then falsified my medical records in an attempt to cover up his negligence. This level of deceit and disregard for patient safety is absolutely unacceptable. My trust in this facility and its staff has been completely shattered. I urge others to steer clear of Joshua Mazalian (Jam Sports and Spine Physical Therapy) and seek care elsewhere.

Joshua took special care to diagnose my problem and found exercises to help me correct the problem and thereby reduce my pain level. I am impressed with his knowledge. He communicated well and gave me hope.

I'd taken my elderly mother to several physical therapy places and seen how they operated--mostly set-it-and-forget-it exercises in a six-week window and a lot of time spent on documentation. So when I needed therapy for hip pain and a trigger finger, I wanted something different, something that allowed me to be an active part of the process and directed me to lifestyle changes that would improve my condition. I found the perfect combination of therapy and personal training at JAM Sports and Spine Physical Therapy in North Hollywood. Dr. Joshua Mazalian is highly gifted, intensely focused, and insightful when it comes to treatment. The intake process was thorough and professional. He directed me to one of his physical therapists who had a similar athletic background to mine and an occupational therapist who got my finger back on track within weeks. A second physical therapist, Shannen Agcaoili, showed me how to improve my body alignment and developed exercises I could use on my own at the gym. Following that, I had four sessions on a Pilates reformer with Violet Alvarado, who worked on my posture and core. I also received massage therapy from Gina Parra, who is truly a treasure. She is strong, bright, hard-working, and intuitive. She can locate the source of pain and manipulate the body through deep tissue work and massage tools to give immediate relief. All the therapists are hands-on and extremely attentive, spending a full 50 minutes per session. There are a few private offices for treatment, but there is also a full gym attached, so therapists have access to weights, exercise bands, machines, benches, and mats. Hours are flexible, with appointments as early as 7:00 a.m. If you're looking for more than just a six-week rehab and are interested in preventing injury, improving your posture, or enhancing your sports performance, JAM Sports and Spine Physical Therapy is the place to go!
