Stuart Rogers' Studios

Ive been in LA for over a decade now and Ive come across my share of acting teachers good and bad. Ive been at the studio for over a year now and came in with strong skepticism at first. I was open to learn, but cautious of being coddled or crammed into a one-size-fits-all methodology. As I learned the concepts and process I found them practical and highly applicable to my work. He tailors his insightful critiques to each individual actor, so Ive been able to grow steadily targeting points of frustration as well as areas of natural strength. I know myself better as an actor and person from this experience, and Stuart is truly helping me (and all his students) build a unique process of my own based on who I am. Hes an upfront guy, which is refreshing. He welcomes questions and disagreements for open conversation, which often lead to deeper illumination on the work we do as actors. I recommend this to any actor at any stage in their career. If you need to revamp your passion for acting, or hone your approach to material when you get an audition (overcome scramble brain), and if youre ready to go all in on your career - this is a place for you to grow.

Joining Stuart's studio has absolutely changed the way I think about and approach acting. I have so much more confidence and flow in my art now and continue to better my process. When I moved to LA I was terrified of the process of finding the right studio. Luckily a family friend recommended I give this studio a chance and I am so grateful for that. Stuart is a great teacher who is knowledgable, receptive, and knows when to push you. The environment and community that is fostered at the studio is so encouraging and uplifting and it's so clear that everyone is rooting for each other. I've been at the studio for a little over 2 years now and I highly recommend it!

Simply put, Ive never been to a studio that will challenge you to deepen your understanding of the craft more beautifully than Stuart Rogers Studio. With a rare combination of sharp communication skills and a vast understanding for the craft of acting, Stuarts ability to push each actor in their own specific way is unmatched. I have never had a teacher like him before, and he actively changes my scope of the acting universe every class. If youre an actor with a hunger for deepening your understanding of the craft and challenging yourself beyond your own personal limits, I cannot recommend the studio enough.

I am so grateful for Stuart and his studio. With the utmost finesse, hes somehow always able to lift the words off the page and into a fully lived life no matter how distant the material may seem. My work and process has become something I now feel I can rely on and trust, something Ive strived for years to feel in class, in the audition room and most importantly on set. He emphasizes discoveries, possibilities and play to keep the work open and alive and not planned or aimed at. Its difficult to capture how wonderful his approach to the work is in a blurb but I can gladly say the work works!

I have trained at several different studios in the city, but none of them take the approach to the entire acting experience like Stuart Rogers does. The studio focuses on what's important to be an actor: the craft as an art form, and a process in which to consistently immerse yourself into an authentic experience. Training here has made me, and continues to make me a significantly more powerful actor every week. I would recommend training with Stuart to anyone who has the passion for the art and who actually wants to become a better actor.
