Frustrated with this company that doesn't pay their contractors. Completely unprofessional all around. ***EDIT after response from owner: there is so much false information in the response, I'm not sure where to begin. I attempted to follow up with the owner, Eric, for MONTHS. 6 months after the invoice was due (June 2023), he emailed me APOLOGIZING for not paying me and to give him more time for him to pay the invoice. That doesn't sound like trying to figure out the justification does it? Haven't heard from him since then despite repeated attempts to follow up. I have all of the follow up documented so I am not sure how that is being unresponsive. Regardless of the shots taken about my organizational skills as a freelancer, I have offered to resubmit proof for all of the work completed. I understand that a business owner might forget about the work I did when he takes 6 months to respond to follow up on an invoice. Soon after I submitted the invoice, he went on to boot me off of the team's communication channels and google drive. I won't name call but this behavior doesn't seem like the type of earnest follow up he seems to claim in his response. So yes, seeing as I completed the work, submitted the invoice, and proceeded to follow up, it is correct of me to claim that I wasn't paid. BTW - disappearing on vacation was actually my wedding, something I alerted the team to well beforehand.
