Stay away from this company. They are horrible fiduciaries and stewards of your money. I have written off everything investing in one of their REITs. I would strongly advise you to avoid any and all interactions with this company. I should have done better research into their history. The commercial properties selected in the REIT were in risky markets (Portland, Houston, Chicago), yet they gladly purchased them, gained all their fees, and did a horrible job managing the assets to the point that investors will likely lose everything once the sales are completed. Plus, their communications are horrible with staged quarterly updates and excuse after excuse for why they fail. Its been at least a year since the last communication and no idea when they will finalize the sale of the properties. The worst investment of my life yet KBS and their principals and staff are profiting from my loss.

The worst tenant experience ever...... Here are the facts! When we discussed an extension that they increased the rent so high we couldn't extend. When we had an issue with suicidal birds flying into our windows next to our seats, it took over a year to resolve and daily messages with no resolution until all the birds died. They removed access to our balcony, the reason for getting the suite, without notice and snuck a worker in to lock the door. They did not let us out of lease and when presented with a sub tenant solution they requested $2,500 application review fee and stated the sub tenant must have better credit rating than we did. They did constant construction on our floor making it difficult and unsafe to physically reach out suite. The building has been converted from residential to various size suites and the heating/cooling is never consistent and you don't have access to adjust. In my opinion, this was the worst tenant experience possible, except the location. We occupied a suite and paid a premium for a class A location and building experience and all we received was a premium location and poor service, dishonest and infrequent communication, and an effort to kill a local small business.
