Rex Baumgartner DDS

Since finding out that Dr Baumgartner essentially built my dentures completely wrong by using the wrong fittings and therefore building an unsound prosthetic that required multiple visits over three years trying to fix problem after problem, I went to another Dentist, who, after taking the dentures out and researching every detail discovered that Dr Baumgartner basically was usuing the 'wrong materials with the wrong tools'   HE found the problem within two visits... Dr Baumgartner COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY MY DENTURES BROKE REPEATEDLY in a four year time span. Imagine having non fitting dentures for that long. Imagine not being able to eat anything but soft foods even after paying almost $20,000 for dentures...  Imagine being so self conscience about speaking in front of people that you essentially stopped speaking in public. Imagine not even wanting to kiss someone because you were afraid your non fitting denures would slip out of your mouth like they do on a daily basis.  Now imagine going through all of this and the doctor responsible for it attempts to throw one third of the cost he is responsible for at you and ignoring your calls and please repeatedly. That would tell you he is an uncaring individual who cares only for himself and his business.I posted my number to a previous review and have been contacted by numerous other patients having experienced severe problems, unsatisfactory customer service and complete rudeness by Dr Baumgartner...775 364 8637

The worst experience I have ever had a dentist. I would tell anyone to stay far away from this office. They have terrible communication and do poor work. I went to get a temporary crown and was in the chair for four whole hours. They got the mold stuck in my mouth, made the temporary wrong, amongst other mess ups. After three and a half hours of sitting in the chair, I was on the verge of tears and expressed how I wanted to go home to which a hygienist responded "I have a three year old at home I want to go home too." After making another wrong temporary the dentist said "It's fine I just want to get her out of here." I was in utter shock. I left the office with a crown placed so high my mouth couldn't close. The crown snapped off in three days. The two dentists also don't communicate AT ALL. One told me I didn't need crown lengthening and the other asked me when I scheduled my crown lengthening surgery since I now somehow needed it. Turns out, I did not need it after getting two second opinions. Terrible dental work and terrible bedside manners. I would stay as far away from this office as you can. Went to a new dentist to get my tooth fixed and couldn't believe the night and day difference between how they handled my dental care. I now have anxiety attacks when sitting in a dental chair. My new office handles me with such care and couldn't be happier to accommodate me. Do not go here.

Dr Baumgardner should be retired. He has terrible bedside manner, was insensitive to my dental needs and caused me to have dry socket! I'm sure 20 years ago he was a good prosthodontist. He should not be attempting to do any full mouth reconstructions at his age. There is also another prosthodontist in the office Dr Lu, beware she has little to no experience in full mouth reconstruction. She is a kind person, but not a very good dentist.

Nightmare. Was there with wifey for hours at a time, while Dr Baumgartner attempted to install a crown that once came in yellow, and on another occasion was made faulty so that the screw wouldn't take inside the implant.   He then left her with the yellow crown 3/4 screwed in. No more Newhall for her, we have to return to Beverly Hills to get this right.
