Excellent pediatrician!!! He was our ER doctor at Los Robles and admitted our toddler. He was very informative, caring and checked in daily with updates and progress. He also gave us a follow up call regarding our child's recovery. We really appreciate Dr. Antall's professionalism and care. Thank you for all your support!

The main reason I give Dr Antall 3 stars is because he has a nice bedside manner and the office is nice and clean.For a typical developing child he may be a good Dr.  Getting sick child visits were a challenge sometimes but they do have Saturday appointments.We have had to request every referral and when we expressed concerns they were often blown off.  Vaccine reactions ignored and not recorded.  When we informed him our son was diagnosed with Aspergers he showed little interest.His Twitter statements about vaccines and Autism were the final straw and why we've left the practice.

First of all I want to say that the office staff is amazing. I have been with Dr. Antall for three years. All four of my boys went to him. Three weeks ago my 11 month old son was admitted into the ER, then transferred over to the PICU at Tarzana. He had gotten croup from his older brother. He was intubated at Tarzana hospital because he could not breathe on his own. Imagine a 11 month old baby with tubes in his mouth and nose. It's awful. The doctor in the ER contacted Dr. Antall I actually saw her pick up the phone and talk to him about the  status of my son. He never once picked up the phone to call me and see how my son was doing or how I was doing. No courtesy call or anything. Nobody from the office called me or my husband. Ironically enough when my three-year-old was six weeks old he aspirated milk into his lungs. He almost died. Once again he was intubated and Dr Antall never called. I actually spoke to him about this and told him how I felt and he apologized and said it would never happen again and that was very unprofessional of him. So 12 days later no call I decided to write a letter to him telling him how I felt and how unprofessional it was and that I'm leaving his practice and I'm taking my four kids to another pediatrician. I hand-delivered the envelope seven days ago and still no call. Make a long story short my kids are now at a wonderful pediatrician who cares about my kids. It's too bad that he just couldn't reach out.

Very disappointed in the care my children received from Dr. Antall. His office staff (particularily the surly billing person) are smug, uncaring and unhelpful. You will wait and average of 45+ minutes for an office visit even with a sick child. I have waited more than an hour and they make no apology or even acknowledge that you have been sitting for long periods of time with a sick, miserable child.My son was admitted to Los Robles on a Saturday & Dr. Antal did not contact me or check in until midday Monday. Weekends, there is NO on-call doctor. His office staff was completely unapologetic and stated that "sometimes he is just unavailable." He swanned in only 2x in 5 days my son was hospitalized to check on him for a mere 3 minutes each visit. He dismissed my son from the hospital by phone call -- for which we were charged $500. My son should have been dismissed 2 days previous, but Dr. Antall was just too busy to come and give him the all-clear. It was only after we made the hospital staff update him and ask to be discharged that he did so by phone call. I got the impression from the nurses that this was NOT unusual for him. I received a bill $100 per office visit (+$30.00 insurance co-pay) and was charged for every blood ox test, temperature taking, etc., those should be normal diagnostics. If you call to inquire WHY you are being billed for these charges, you will be forced to deal with his accounts payable person who has no business working in any customer service capacity. When you call, you will only reach a nurse after being on hold for 20 minutes or more & she only refers you to the nearest Urgent Care. He is also not available to answer calls during office hours, even if they are urgent. He does not call or follow up with your child even after a serious illness requiring hospitalization.When I realized the pediatrician at Urgent Care was more caring and thorough I left. Best idea I ever had. Now that I have a GREAT pediatrician for my children, I can even better appreciate how sub-par our care was with Dr. Antall. My children have asthma and now that we have a wonderful caring doctor who has worked with us to manage their condition and keep it under control - we have no more Urgent Care visits, no ER trips and best of all, NO absurd billings or charges for things that should be diagnostic. He is available to us when we need him and he cares about their well-being rather than just the extra charges he can apply to our bills.
