LOGE Mt. Shasta

We've stayed here many times since 2021, but we're done. Initially it was nice, but the low budget renovation of an old motel is now really showing it's age and it's not well maintained or clean. The heaters are ancient and rattle when running and the bathrooms are disgusting. It's was a nice idea at first, but absolutely not worth the price.

MOLD! All over shower and bathroom window with a damp and dank smell. Do not recommend this hotel. I booked through Expedia and when contacted, the Manager refused to give a refund, after showing me two rooms that both had mold present. Expedia is crediting me- Thank you! I usually stay at the Best Western which is where I ended up. Shame on you Loge for not cleaning up an obvious toxic health exposure! Please dont take your children there, or even expose yourself. There are many wonderful hotels in Mount Shasta but this is definitely not one of them.

My husband and I took the Amtrak from Chemult, OR to Dunsmuir, CA for a weekend snowboarding at Shasta Ski Park, and we decided to stay at Mt. Shasta LOGE since we've stayed at the LOGE in Bend, OR. Just up the road from downtown and on the way to the ski park, the location couldn't have been better. The mountain-town vibes and amenities made our trip truly immersive. We took advantage of the free bike rentals which we used to get into town each evening for dinner. Checking them out was a breeze thanks to the awesome front desk staff, and helmets and bike locks were conveniently included. Rooms had all the necessary amenities, plus a YETI cooler, hammock setup, bike rack, and boot dryers (which were definitely used). Shower was hot, bed was comfy, thermostat worked, and everything was clean. Coffee and pastries from the cafe each morning were also fantastic, and we enjoyed constant access to fire pits around the property. Couldn't be happier with our stay. Can't wait to go back!
