I'm in Calgary Canada and bought two Duramax sheds 18 months ago. Two of my hinges broke, possibly the Calgary weather. The customer service displayed by CS rep Felipe more then made up for the hinge quality. He is shipping me the hinges. Great job Felipe.

At the end of 2018, We hired a company to install a fence between 2 properties , they used Duramax Products, which according to brochures carries a lifetime warranty and guaranteed not to Crack, chip, peel, rot, or fade After receiving the several thousand $$ bid, we decided to give the approval, but decided to add color to the gates in front to enhance the appearance, at an additional cost of &1125.00.(for color only) So far so good.. Fast forward to 3 years later, our occupant moved & we were very surprised at the appearance of the gates, as they had faded & stained badly. I called the Company we hired to install, they asked for photos as well as physical inspection, which was done immediately. Upon their inspection they stated it would be reported to the Manufacturer, Duramax. They too asked for physical inspection. (see Photos attached) The claim was approved as being a defective product & therefore qualified for the warranty, but they would have to order the product. would be a delay.. No problem. Finally Duramax had the product & would deliver it, at which time we discovered that WE had to install it ourselves.We called the Original installers & got quoted $950.00 & $850. to re-install the panels to the gates. We are elderly and cannot tackle the job, but we feel this should NOT be our cost, as its a manufacturer defect, not our negligence. They have no problem admitting guilt for the defects but insist We have to hire & pay an installer. Why? If you purchase a product, such as a vehicle, and there is a manufacturer issue, they simply issue a recall, you take your vehicle in & They absorb the entire cost of parts AND labor, not the Consumer! The only thing you lose is the inconvenience. THAT is exactly the way Consumers SHOULD be treated! Did i mention, we were REPEAT customers? we had other color gates installed over 4 years ago & so far no issues.This is no way to treat your repeat clientele. Don't yet know how or WHEN this battle is going to get resolved, its been nearly 5 months now back & forth. We pray for a good resolution, but PLEASE be WARNED about using Duramax. I will be happy to post CASE Resolved, if & when Duramax lives up to their warranty. in the meantime, SHAME on You DURAMAX!!!
