I really enjoyed my experience working with Godfrey & Hardy Tax. I needed some help on a personal income tax issue that became very confusing to me & their team helped me get it resolved. I not only recommend them, but I'll be bringing my family's taxes here for quite a while.

Ruth Godfrey should loose her license because she is in violation of Tax Preparer code 22251.2 as an exempt person of section 22258, she can't be on it. How many board votes on the CTEC are void now??? Are there any CRTP this year??? what about past??? WOW"...A person exempt from the requirements of this chapter pursuant to Section 22258 is not eligible for appointment to the council"22251.2   (3) Six individuals who are tax preparers pursuant to Section 22255 and are appointed through a process established by the council to the board of directors with full voting privileges to serve terms as determined by the council, with their initial terms being served on a staggered basis. A person exempt from the requirements of this chapter pursuant to Section 22258 is not eligible for appointment to the council, other than an employee of an individual in an exempt category.

This tax preparer office deceived us and pulled a bait and switch. I called the office for a quote to prepare a long form 1040 and I was quoted between  $250.00 -$275.00.   Our return was not complex. We own a home and have a few investments.  I do some Forex trading on the side.  This lady, Sharon Hardy,  did not even know what Forex was.  I had to send her information.  When the return was completed she produced a bill for $475.00.  Total scam artist!! She claims she knows more that tax CPAs and has a right to charge more as an enrolled agent!  Give me a break lady!!   Save your money and take your business somewhere else!   Worst tax experience ever!  I am not even confident that the return is accurate.  If I could rate her a zero I would.
