I dont ever do reviews but this was SO GOOD! I am a big Ravioli fan! Everywhere I go i base it off that especially Italian restaurants. I can honestly say tonight was one of the best I have had around the valley and Ive been to a lot of places. Great food, atmosphere, and great service!! I am a server/bartender so I have high standards when it comes to servers, but Bryce was Great! I recommend 100%

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The owner talked to us and explained the menu and food and where it all comes from. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was amazing. We all sampled each others plates...everything was delicious.

Went here for the first time last week, absolutely the best pasta and sauce I've ever had! The owner was so friendly, he told us the story about the restaurant, his parents, explained in detail about stuff on the menu, and made excellent suggestions! Wonderful family atmosphere. Server was very attentive, helpful, and polite. We had an appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, and everything was incredibly delicious!

Carlo and his crew were great!!! THIS is the real deal Italian food in Modesto, their chef and owner are both from Italy. Top notch service and great food.

We googled some restaurants and even though there was some negative reviews we decided to try this spot. The first thing was the quick reservation system via Google. Put in our time and people and the system sent us a confirmation that we had a reservation. We showed up and the young guy asked if we could be helped. I let him know I had a reservation for 4, he pointed to a side tables near the window and walked off. I wish there was a little more check and balances with the reservation but we made our way to our seats. You could clearly hear the owner speaking to another table, letting them know the specials of the day. When he arrived at our table, he spoke both English and Italian to us, since some of our party spoke both languages. The FOOD was Def worth the price, hats off to the chef. (I get some people don't like paying $25 or more for a plate, but sometimes it's worth the price). We asked for wine suggestions and the owner brought us a wonderful bottle (Mind you I do not normally like red wines, but this one from Sicily was so delicious, that our entire table had some). Def a great spot for a date night. My only negative thoughts about the location, is because of its small size, it would have been nice to have some fans to cool down the area since it gets warm with the stoves running. But is it worth going? YES! Enjoy some southern Italian food at Gusto's!
