        Love the Velvet! Cute little Diner right on McHenry serving classic American diner food. As big as Modesto has gotten, when you step into the Velvet, Modesto feels like a small town again where strangers greet you with hello and you're guaranteed to bump into someone you know. The servers are always pleasant, and their weekend cook is the best. If you've never been, you're missing out. Parking: Large parking lot in back Kid-friendliness: Family friendly. They even make their own ice cream.
