First time going to the Caf and the service, food, and quality was more than great! Edgar was our server and he was great. He recommended some of his favorite desserts and we loved them! We will definitely be coming back and hope Edgar is there his service was top notch!

Don't forget to order the yummy tomato soup. I loved the strawberry salad, but I think they changed the recipe lately. The desserts are great!

In February I had an issue with a online order from Nordstrom.  I had to go into the store to complain and get the situation resolved.  Parisa Tabrizi helped me after I explained the issue.  As part of the fix, she invited me and my wife and family to have lunch or dinner At Nordstrom Marketplace Cafe.I knew we had an occasion coming up, so we went on Saturday.  So as we had a reservation we were seated at a table with a reserved sign on it as it is normally self seating.  There was a small gift bag on the table for us that had some chocolates, a bottle of vinaigrette, a jar of Truffle Parmesan Spice blend.  We are definitely trying all of them.So, our waitress Myra came by to be our server, she is the best.  She deserves a pay raise as she was the ultimate waitress.  Flawless service.So we ordered lots of food as the menu was surprisingly full of items we did not expect.  We thought as a cafe it was going to be like sandwiches, but was a full blown restaurant menu.We ordered a couple appetizers, entrees, and dessert.For drinks we orders lemonade and my wife and daughter each ordered a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc wine.  It was very good.For the apps my wife ordered the Roma Tomato Soup with Basil, we all ordered the Cheddar Chive Biscuit, and I ordered the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata plate.All of them were the BOMB.  The biscuit was better than the same item other restaurants.  The soup delicious and creamy. And tomatoes and burrata was so good and refreshing.  We all said we would come back again to other them.My daughter ordered a Chicken Cesar Salad and my wife ordered a Wild Pacific Shrimp Salad.  Both were good, but the shrimp could have been cooked a little less than they were.For the main entrees my wife ordered the Chef's Featured Skirt Steak with roasted potatoes and baby spinach.  My daughter ordered the Portabella Mushroom Ravioli with oven roasted tomatoes, basil and Parmesan cream sauce.  I ordered the Penne Bolognese and Meatballs.The steak and potatoes were great cooked to perfection.  The ravioli was great with the sauce.  And the pasta with bolognese and meatballs was surprisingly good.  I did not know that chicken meatballs would taste so good.  We all agreed that we would come back for all of them.Lastly for dessert my wife and daughter ordered the White Chocolate with Raspberries Bread Pudding and I ordered a Lemon Ricotta Ice Cookie.Both items were delicious and would orders again.Overall a fantastic experience and we will definitely go back when we shop at Nordstrom at the Shops at Mission Viejo.

I've loved this place ever since I was a kid. The prices are generally affordable and the food is always good. It also feels semiformal and fancy but you still get your food fast. My favorite has been the tomato bisque soup and the parmesan crostini that it comes with is amazing. A bowl of it, ~$8, is very filling and satisfying without being calorically dense. The customer service is great as well. Its format of ordering at the counter and keeping your receipt on your table makes it both efficient and stress-free to decide on food while allowing for a great customer experience at the same time. Recently, I went with friends for lunch and our server, Pepé, was an extremely nice waiter. He was attentive to us and was proactive about meeting our needs even while he was in charge of waiting on quite a few other tables. He really gave the entire experience a personal feel while still performing his job efficiently and saw to it that we got chocolates at the end of our visit. I've had lots of positive experiences at this location over the years but his genuineness really stuck out to me. The food and low wait times is great but the human connection they manage to provide on top of it makes it a great place to stop by any time.
