I have always found Juan and the Mill valley collection center to be outstanding. Wan is great in managing donations and extremely helpful when working with donors. The new location is perfect, and better than the Safeway location in almost every way. Well, always appreciate Safeway providing facilities for Goodwill to operate on Camino Alto. But the new location has better parking, Is less busy, and provides a Positive presence and then otherwise rarely used corner lot on Miller street. Separately, and unrelated to the excellence of this collection center, I remain very conflicted about the extremely Salaries Paid to Goodwill executives and senior management. Given the organizations Recognition by the IRS as a nonprofit, Theres no reason why executive should be paid too much other than greed - which conflicts with the organizations core mission. Goodwill should not be operating in way that exacerbates inequality Or otherwise perpetuates a system that uses donations ( From the weakthy, in the case of our neighborhood and similarly situated collection centers) to make money from the poor while barely paying a living wage to its employees, while executives get paid more than 20 times what the rank-and-file make. Despite these concerns, I believe Goodwill provides benefit by upcycling Items that are still useful and that would ordinarily be discarded. And as I said, Juan is super cool As always Seems to consider the way that his work can people in need.

New location! It moved from the Safeway parking lot to over near Sol Food. Happy to still have a convenient drop-off spot.

The staff mentioned this location will be going away soon? I didn't get details but what a loss for Southern Marin It has always been so straightforward to drive right up to this location in the Safeway parking lot and the staff is always helpful.
