We brought our puppy here for training because we wanted to make sure that she would be well behaved in public. We have two older dogs that had never received professional training and are pretty well behaved and trained. We learned so many things that make our life with all of the dogs so much better. At the beginning I will confess that I was reserved. Miss Judy is a little gruff and I had a vision that I would train my dog with only treats and praise. Just one week in I realized that Miss Judy was teaching us so much more than just how to get the dog to sit and stay. Most of what we learned was how to communicate with our dog, how to tell her what we want, how to correct her without being mean or overbearing. My other dogs behave well but I can tell see that my pup actually thinks through things rather than just following rote commands. Her breed is often obstinate and independent but she has learned to be polite and respectful while still maintaining her wonderful personality. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for obedience classes for their dogs both puppies and adults. We have learned so much more than the basic sit, down, stay and come. This is the same basic training that they use to begin training their service dogs, so getting the dog to actively participate is very important. It's more expensive than your pet store 'training' but completely worth it.

So I drop my dogs off...my dogs usually like going places, but the day I dropped them off, they tried to jump back in the truck. Should have known this wasn't going to be good. Then after I am leaving I found out there wasn't any pick up on Sundays ( even thou the office attendant asked the owner when I called to schedule the reservations, I was told yes I can pick up on Sunday) Then I go to pick up my dogs on Monday before they were actually opened (I wasn't told what time they opened, so I thought 9:30 am was good) BUT nope, they open at 10am & then found out they don't take credit cards (only cash & checks-----who uses & takes checks now a days?) So I had to drive another 30 minutes to go get cash :( So when I get back FINALLY to bring the dogs home, I heard the kennel assistant yelling at the dogs to shut up, what do you expect it's a dog boarding, duh... This place was NOT GREAT & will NOT EVER use again. Oh also they say they don't charge for the day you drop off (even though I dropped them off around 11ish on Friday, but they charge for they day you pick up, even though I "tried" to pick up early? WTH????? glad to know they don't charge for giving treats & the dog food that you bring for your dogs, When called to make reservations I was told the dogs DIDN'T need their Bordatella shots (to prevent kennel cough) or their other vaccines. When I was talking to the owner when I dropped off my dogs she began to tell me that just up until recently they (the kennel) weren't even requiring RABBIES vaccines. YES I shouldn't have left my dogs there, I felt SO bad leaving them there but There were other boarding places & no time to look for others. SO PLEASE PLEASE check out the facility and if you DON'T feel comfortable with the place & there are signs going off in your head, LISTEN to them. My boys are home bathed & being spoiled for their bad weekend, sorry boys :(
