Jackie is the "hostess" with the "mostest". We loved our stay at Serenity Gardens. It felt like a home away from home, but only better. : ) I felted so "spoiled" with the morning coffee and biscotti deliveries to my room. Jackie set up a "roll away" in my room for my 13 year old son, which slept very comfortably. The room had a spa like bathroom complete with a bath jacuzzi and large shower. The backyard was lovely with comfy patio chairs and tables for relaxing under the largest willow tree that I have ever seen. A cool gentle wind blows through in the afternoon. Wind chimes and gurgling fountains added to a truly "serene" peaceful visit. The chickens in the back were fun for my son to visit to collect eggs with Jackie. He also enjoyed the friendly kitten "Fin" and wanted to take him home. ha! I stayed with my 13 year old son, as we were there to move my older son out of UC Merced dorms into summer housing. The privacy and peaceful outside area to just catch-up as a family was so appreciated before leaving our son for his summer term. We will definitely be booking this place again to visit Jackie, "Fin", and the chickens. : )

Wow! Where to start? I loved my stay here, and can't wait to go back! My Sister and I stayed over this last Thanksgiving week. Unfortunately, it was a sad occasion as our amazing Aunt had passed away. Jackie took such great care of us! The breakfasts were so delicious and gorgeous! I stayed in the Alaskan room. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful. Some day, I really want to check out the separate guest house in the back! Highly recommend!!!

We reserved two rooms for our wedding guests and both sets of guests said they enjoyed their stay and felt welcome and very comfortable. They said the breakfast was lovely and Jackie accommodated their dietary needs. I found Jackie very pleasant to work with and I really appreciate that our guests were able to stay in the same place together.

What a beautiful home!! Jackie was an incredible and kind host. I stayed with my fiance in the Master with the private bathroom and jacuzzi tub. All very comfortable!! Jackie took really good care of us during our stay. She made a delicious breakfast each morning we were around using fresh eggs from her own chickens!!! Her chickens are super cute!! It was amazing!! So glad we discovered this place. Its really a little piece of heaven in Merced. Great for anyone going through town or as a perfect rendevous point on the way up to and from Yosemite. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a rustic experience with simple creature comforts.
