Wow, that was a close call! I am very noise averse but I was assured my room in the C building would be far enough from the train. By the looks of the layout, it should be. But after I entered my top floor end unit, the train came a-roarin' by! I feared for my nights sleep. After reading the reviews some more here, I tried their noise dampening shades, fired up my white noise generator, and waited for the next train. Much better! Actually, I was able to make my 4 nights work, but Bldg A, I would not think so. The front desk staff had the patience of saints and helped me with all my requests. The room was very big and had a nice kitchen. I just wish I got more market goodies for my Platinum status. The parking is plentiful. They have the whole street behind bldg A reseved as well as a covered garage. Very convenient location with so many great eateries with a 4 block range. I am not sure I would risk the noisy train again though, even in Bldg C.

Super-convenient to Stanford Medical! Friendly staff! Rooms: Nice 1 bedroom suite with well-equipped with basic necessities such as toaster oven (upon request), hairdryer, FREE LAUNDRY!. Very clean, comfortable, perfect for an extended stay.

Give Elizabeth at the front desk a promotion! After a stressful day of travelling for work she was warm, welcoming and efficient. Room was nice, clean and comfy.

Beware that Building A at this Residence Inn is right on top of the Caltrain tracks. The trains are very noisy and pass frequently deep into the night, and the hotel's walls and glass doors aren't soundproof. Worse, the hotel is next to a train crossing, so the trains blare their horns as they pass the hotel. I had a very restless night in my room facing the tracks. The hotel otherwise is very pleasant, with a great breakfast buffet. But I strongly recommend avoiding rooms in Building A.
