I just want to be in awe where ENCHANTMENT UNDER THE SEA dance took place twice.

I was looking for a church to visit while on vacation, and I was definitely enticed by the fact that the Enchantment Under the Sea dance from Back to the Future was filmed here. While at the church, I was welcomed kindly and got to participate in worship with a Christ-loving community. I was especially delighted that I had stumbled upon the day of the church picnic and was invited to stay. Through the picnic, I met some wonderful parishioners who really showed me God in a way I didn't expect when I went into church that day. If I had to describe HMUC in one short phrase it'd be "radical love". This church has evolved with the times. They live up to the teachings of Christ which I found lacking in other churches from my childhood.Their involvement in the community whether it be homeless outreach, LGBTQ+ rights, or affordable housing doesn't go unnoticed. They are a true fixture in Hollywood.The congregation is diverse which creates a beautiful tapestry that evokes a spirit of welcomeness, love, and kindness from the moment you walk in the doors.The sermons always make me leave feeling inspired and hopeful. My husband and I were honored to have the current senior pastor, Reverend Kathy Ledesma, co-officiate our wedding with Rabbi Jonathan Klein. Just one of the many examples of love and inclusion that is HMUC.
