Truly an amazing experience I wasn't expecting. Gabby our server was so nice and helpful with recommendations. The quality of the sushi was fresh and mouth watering good. Order the Wagyu which comes raw you cook it at your table.

A super solid and frankly underrated ramen spot in Hollywood. For whatever reason, I never hear Shin mentioned along with the chains (Jinya, Silverlake, Tsujita) that dominate the LA ramen-scape. The menu is brimming with wonderful options - soups, sushi, onigiri, curry, yakitori... you name it. The first two ramen toppings are free (on top of what many of them already come with) and the noodles are customizable. I've never had the same soup bowl twice here, and I love it that way. Despite its prime La Brea & boulevard location, parking is super easy. If you end up ordering take out or delivery, the ramen is expertly packed with what I can only describe as layered bowls that keep your broth brothy and keep the crunch for the fixins. My go-to is the Get Well Soon or anything with udon...and the cucumber salad is a perfect complement to everything I've ordered. Prices in 2023 are manageable, and you can tell the staff loves working here. Bonuses if you dine in-person: hot towels as you sit (hello first class!), and a call button on the table in case you need service. But even without pressing, the servers will come by periodically to answer questions or check if you need anything.Let's give Shin the shine it deserves!
