Great spot in Hollywood to post up for a moment. Its across from the celebrity Scientology center and next to UCB so lots of good people watching. It was very loud inside so we are on the patio. We went for late night loitering so food was classic bar far - nice to munch on but nothing that will change your life, all to say, it does the job!

Been going here since 1995. Best local bar in the city, even if you have to drive a while to get there. Make sure to tell bartender Patrick and his partner Zach that I said hi. They might give you a t-shirt. The chicken is great. Rotisserie. Bomb. Especially at 12, 3, 5, 7, and 9pm. :) Chipotle mayo, yes. Onion rings and Cajon fries, yep. It's not chicken, but the carnitas tacos are a hidden gem. Staff is the best in the city, and the owner Henry might not "know your name" but he has been a rock-star and made the joint the same for 30 years now. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Check it out.

My colleague wanted to try something new and suggested we try Birds. We always drive by and its packed with people. Usually its a sign food is good. Well for me I dont get what the big hype is. The place itself is cool. Didnt particularly like a sign that they have on the wall that states something about loose women. Sure the sign comes off as funny, but might make some women upset. Especially now a days. Our server was good, but seemed swamped as he had all the tables and a Buser to assist. He still remained attentive which was amazing. We ordered fried pickles. They were some of the best Ive ever had and their sauce was on point. I also had the French onion soup. Not a big fan. Too much bread in the soup. You can also taste allot of butter from them toasting the baguette before they put in the soup. The soup itself didnt exhibit much flavors. The mozzarella wasnt very good either. Not sure what brand they use, but its definitely not of high quality. Also, this is one of the most expensive French onion soups Ive had. For that being saiddefinitely not worth the price. My colleague and I both had burgers. Yes, I know we go to a chicken place to get beef. The buns were dry. Meat was cooked perfectly, but had no salt or any flavor. The Mac and cheese that came with my burger was exactly that. No effort, no wow factor, and no seasonings. Just pasta, cheese, and a sprinkle of bread crumbs on top. Box Mac & cheese is way better than thislol. I tasted my colleges baked beans. They were good with allot of smoky flavor. All and all I dont really know what the buzz is about either this place, because if you truly had people who had a good pallet this place probably wouldnt be open as long as it has been. Not a fan and would only recommend the fried pickles with maybe a beer. Parking: Unless youre lucky it will take some minutes and probably a nice walk.
