Such a welcoming place! The murals are terrific, and the staff can't be beat! Be prepared to be happy & sore AF! Living out of town, but rush back to feel the familiar burn you only get from true professionals.

I've been working out with owners Jenn + Kelsey for 4+ years since this location was a part of the Bar Method franchise. While I always appreciated the Bar Method workouts and always love working out with the instructors here - Chrysalis is the next level! The workouts vary a lot more and utilize different props, so unlike Bar Method, your body is always feeling like it's being worked out in a different way with each class. You can also tell that the instructors are having fun with it and are themselves making up new moves and routines, and really taking pride in it. They are all so encouraging, positive and uplifting! Even though you're working hard the whole time, and will be sore the next day, there's no anxiety about being pushed too far, which helps so much in just showing up! The space is really tranquil, and even with COVID I feel very safe there given the spots are pre-spaced out for social distancing, the place is kept pristine, and I'm often standing right next to a high grade air purifier. Lastly - don't snooze on the Wellness offerings at Chrysalis! I've been seeing Aimee regularly for Reiki, and Chivonne for facials, and both women are so highly skilled, gentle, friendly, and just excellent at what they do! Couldn't recommend this space and those who work there enough.

Chrysalis is a really wonderful studio. The design of the classes, with 4 "pillars" to choose from, allows you to choose classes based on what you want to work on and adds a lot of variety that isn't there in other kinds of studio classes. Sweat is cardio, Sculpt is most akin to Bar classes, Strength utilizes props for targeted strength-building, and Stretch is obvious (much-needed and often overlooked at other studios). They're all as challenging as you can ask for, without being inaccessible for new students. I explored the various options and very quickly saw positive changes in my body due to more well-rounded and varied exercises. My arms, shoulders and back had not been challenged much in classes elsewhere, and cardio was not emphasized either. These classes really have improved my strength, stamina, and well-being. The studio is a lovely, welcoming space. You're always greeted by a friendly face, the bathroom is spacious and very nice, the floor in the studio is some kind of miracle combination of a smooth surface that is well-cleaned, but has a lot of cushion to make it easier on your joints. They have taken care to make adjustments to keep students and staff safe during this challenging time. The vibe is welcoming, encouraging, supportive, and challenging. The two things that make this place stand out are the workouts themselves and the sense of community. They have created a place that lifts up anyone who enters. The teachers are very well-chosen and knowledgeable. The studio is just now launching the wellness side and it currently includes an aesthetician, reiki specialist and massage therapist offering various services in a separate space in the studio. I also appreciate the offerings of in-person, live streaming and recorded classes for maximum flexibility. If you're not ready to return to a studio yet, you can work out from anywhere using the other options and get a great workout with minimal space or props needed. And there are options for people with different budgets. The app and the website have always worked perfectly for me. Do your body and you mind a big favor and check them out!
