Student LunchBox: Fighting Food Insecurity Among College Students

My family and I used Student LunchBox at Los Angeles Valley College. My family is large so we received lots of produce and groceries, and a while case of protain bars. Very exciting.

Student Lunchbox has been a lifesaver when trying to find healthy food to eat! I been volunteering with them since February and its impactful to see how the foods can bring smiles to students faces. As a college student that is also Food insecure I am able to pick out produce. Its always an adventure trying new and interesting ways to cook with the food thats donated. One time I made fried rice with the carrots, rice, green onions that were distributed that week.

Student Lunch Box is amazing , With the great leadership of Karl leading the way with this amazing nonprofit . Having some best people working in the front lines and having the diligent, and caring volunteers. Thank you for everything that you have done and currently still doing. I see this program evolving to be something great thank you for everyone hard work.

I am so happy to have gotten to meet these amazing people! Honestly so nice seeing how much people are enjoying and how nice the volunteers treat others. Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you guys put into making sure everyone gets those variety food as well as the fresh produce.

When I tell you I look forward to have SLB on our campus I mean it! I got to meet one of the best people Karl. I had the opportunity of being a volunteer and was able to work with them. This nonprofit organisation has brought joy to so many family's. Thank you for everyone who always makes sure everything is set up and everything runs smoothly. This is one of the best programs and I am glad people take this opportunity.
