This orthopedic surgery was the only one I've had of 12 that scared me. Even Dr. Harshbarger wouldn't accept me wanting it until I waited a week for my decision.
The surgery is rough in the beginning but the pain goes down quite a bit after the first day. You are on a lot of painkillers but it's necessary to heal.
As to the surgery, I no longer have a nail in my back and feel it went great. Dr. Harshbarger definitely knows his craft and has radically changed my quality of life for the better.
What helped also was his staff and they are excellent. They're always friendly and it's a well run office. The other shout out is to White Adventist Memorisl- great hospital. The nurses were really compassionate and highly skilled.
