It is what it is.. a Motel more or less around $100 in a Scientology owned area of Hollywood. *Warning: The caliber of Guests that stay there might immediately make you regret your decision!

Booked a Hotel 1 year in advance, turned up on the day only to find that the Hotel was closed for renovation. They let us pay $60 in a taxi only to find ourselves on the street and seeking accommodation that we managed to sort after wasting precious time on vacation. We also then had to overpay for the new booking through another more reliable provider... Not communication, and no refund... What a joke... AVOID!!

(Translated by Google) We stayed at this motel for two nights as part of our road trip in the western United States. It was absolutely spontaneous because our original motel was in the ghetto and wasn't livable. We were happy for the price, although the standard differed significantly from all other hotels and motels we have stayed at. Unfortunately, this seems to be the case more often in LA in this price range. It looks very shabby, dirty and run down from the outside, as well as from the inside. As a cheap flophouse, however, it can definitely be used. Location and surroundings The hotel is right around the corner from Hollywood Boulevard with the Walk of Fame etc. So it's super central and the parking space in the underground garage makes it possible to leave the car safely. Room The hotel advertises in front of the door with the slogan "Luxury Rooms", which is actually pure irony. We had room 114. It was right next to the "pool", but it was empty and run down. Old furniture and bulky waste stood in front of the door. It was relatively loud all the time. The room, while very dated, was a good size and clean. The air conditioning worked, TV and fridge were available and the bathroom was fine. Since you don't spend most of the day here, it was definitely acceptable. We were a little confused about a strange locked door right next to the bed... service The staff at the hotel were somewhat reserved, if not downright odd. They hung out on a sofa/chair next to reception and always made you uncomfortable around them. There was a public microwave in reception that could have been used and the internet in the hotel was fine. On the day of departure, as we already knew from America, there was loud noise in front of the room and everything was sprayed wet with a hose, even our room window. We found this quite awkward, as we then had to carry our suitcases through the puddles in the hallway with wet feet (pulling was no longer possible), while the guilty employee just looked on stupidly without helping. gastronomy According to the description, there was free coffee, cappuccino and donuts in the morning. Unfortunately, by 10 a.m. there was almost nothing left of it, so we couldn't use it on either day. Sports & Entertainment The hotel pool was empty, dirty, run down and unusable. Even if there had been water in it, I wonder where one could have sat, let alone laid. An absolute cheek, especially since it is advertised on a big board in front of the hotel. (Mai 2017)
