Haifa Restaurant

Was craving some good Israeli hummus and found this place. I got chicken Schwarma with some falafel and hummus on the side. I have to say the side dish of pickled vegetables was a nice touch, and it went very well with the rest of the food. I basically inhaled the food and was very satisfied with the hummus too. The staff was nice and friendly.  The place has a fair amount of seating, standard indoor ambiance.

The best Mediterranean food I've ever had! Our group had the beef kebab and the schwarma with  a choice of warm green beans in tomato sauce, sautéed mushrooms and a cucumber/tomato salad. Everything was fresh and tasty. Warm pita with little appetizers come with the meal. All 6 of us would highly recommend Haifa Restaurant, which has been at the same location for a long time.

This food is smackin'!! Boy oh boy. I'm happy. Honestly, I was looking for the other Israeli place in that area and I thought this was the place I went to until I pulled up to it. I was nervous it wouldn't be good. I got the falafel plate and told the guy I would eat it the next day for lunch. He said the falafels would be stale, but they'll still be good. Maaannn I didn't even eat lunch and am eating almost 24hrs later and it's delicious!! Made me a lil sammich and darn near ate the whole plate! My new spot every time I'm in Mid City!!
