I was referred with my child to Mario, and sent an apparently over-detailed email listing out the problems needing to be addressed, which needs to happen ASAP, and just received a one-liner from him saying he doesn't have openings. Take yourself off the list from Kaiser then as being an available therapist, or don't cherry-pick your patients. I don't believe you don't have openings, I think the ask just sounded too difficult. All the negative Karma points for you, Mario.

Mario is one of the nicest counselor we've ever met. He has a kind personality, and really puts thought into understanding problems.He doesn't give direct suggestions when the matter is subjective but helps one with the process of making decisions, in a very impartial, objective way.Also, his hourly rate is decent compared to other therapists charging uncomfortable fees. Highly recommend

It took me a bit of time to find a therapist. I called Mr. Palacios when I was in middle of a crisis. The day of the free consultation, I felt very warm and welcome. The one thing that I noticed right away is that he did not force his service on me like so many others will. I have had 7 visits with him and have noticed an improvement on my panic attacks and anxiety and depression. I am able to follow his exercises when I feel like an episode is about to start, He truly listens and often finds ways for me to answer my own questions. I've told him things NO ONE knows. I have laughed, cried and screamed in his office. He gives me goals, exercises and "homework" for me to complete before my next visit to see if I can get out of the house, participate in activities, and have a "normal" life. Last week he pointed out to me that I am communicate better and that my demeanor is not as fragile and I think it was. You know what? HE WAS RIGHT!!If you are looking for someone to talk to and some one who LISTENS and mixes in kindness, compassion, and an ability to empathize without being overwhelming go - no RUN - to see Mario. His website states: growth is in your hands and change comes within. He is RIGHT. I can change and take charge......I just need some help in how to get there.....and he is the right source for me. Thank you for your help!!
