Bundys Lock and Safe is a long-standing go-to business for all things related to locks, keys, and basic home security. When I was a boy, my dad would bring me to the old location on Sawtelle, carrying a bag full of locks from our family-owned apartment building to be re-keyed. Ive been a regular customer for years. Bundy Lock and Safe sent a locksmith to my house in west LA when we first moved in. He masterfully got every door in the house (exterior and interior) working beautifully. I will not forget watching him work. He was so nice, very patient, highly skilled. Showed me many little things. More recently, I had a broken Schlage keypad lock. Brought it in. Met Max, who started by mounting the lock on a simulated mini door in the work area. He tried a few things and got the lock working. Plus he graciously taught me a few things about the mechanism. Then he re-keyed the lock for me. Total cost: $20. While I was at the store, several people came in, including a property manager with many locks to be re-keyed, and another guy whose massive exterior lock had been damaged during a break in. The staff took care of everyone in a capable and professional manner. This is a really friendly place where you can see skilled experts at work. Much respect.
