Yuko Kitchen Wilshire

Can't believe I haven't given Yuko's a review after being a patron for almost a decade. Having been an intern at the Japan Foundation two blocks down, this used to be my regular lunch place because it had a lot of healthy options without breaking my college student bank. It hasn't changed very much and the atmosphere is still very beautiful exactly how I remember it back many years ago. My go to is always the beef plate because it comes with so many of their foods: A beef and rice portion, a salad, a tiny soup, and a cup of desserts. I really like their garlic albacore rice bowl. Whether it's for dine in or takeout, I've always had consistency with their quality, and if you get the chance, I recommend that you go during their happy hours because their drinks are three dollars each. The staff are very friendly and very nice when it comes to answering any of the questions you have. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options if you don't eat meat or if you have diet restrictions. It's one of the few restaurants that are open around this area during the night too.

The food was absolutely incredible! While the location seems a bit hidden hopefully this review will bring it more to the public eye. Everything was extremely fresh and full of flavor. I went with a group, the food came out quick and all around the same time. Large portions for the price, be careful not to order too much. I can't wait to go back.

i love it here. the food is great. the green tea strawberry chocolate chip cookie was super amazing, even days later when i had forgot about it!! i also loved the salmon crispy rice. the sushi rice is definitely a bit sticker which i love! they had Howls Moving Castle playing in the background which sealed the deal for me! definitely gonna come here again, really thankful my friends showed me this spot. ps if it's cold out, wear a good jacket bc there is outdoor seating with heaters but still

So good- cute space that feels like a rainforest abs the freshest giant bowl I've ever had. Strawberry boba soda is a treat
