L.A. Care Health Plan

Very poor service in follow-up. I went to an emergency one month ago having a mini stroke. Upon discharge, they asked me to follow up with my pmd. When I contacted, a PA said that he would contact me one month later after he studied my record. That was today. But I haven't heard anything from them. What kind of medical service are they providing? I am going to switch to other health plan ASAP. I can't trust you guys!

I'd give zero stars if possible. The online system is not user friendly. There are so many hurdles to accessing the care you need. If you have other options, do not waste your time.

Excellent value for the price, and a wide range of PPO caregivers including some top rated facilities. Been with them for 3-4 years now and not a single problem. Nothing but good things to say about LA CARE.

This is the worst insurance they can give to children, last month I had my child pediatrician put in a referral for Diapers being that my child is autistic. Regional center was paying for them up until he is 5 and he is turning 5 this month so I was told that my insurance would pay for them, the pediatrician put in the referral and I got approved, but they put a company all the paperwork that doesnt sell diapers they sell stuff like amputation equipment. So I called LA CARE to let them know they picked the wrong company after calling them from 10am until 5 I finally got somebody on the phone only to be told that the pediatrician have to resubmit the referral, when it was an error on there part they didnt check to see if the company sold diapers. They just put whoever on the authorizations
