  • The Neutralizer

Toxic culture, greedy owners, high turnover rates, gossiping, instigators, malevolence, drama, jealously, intimidation tactics, hypocrisy, favoritism, miscommunication between management-supervisors-leads-production workers, disorganization, lack of empathy from management-supervisors-leads, low wages with no incentives. The staff favors and protects the undocumented. I took a lot of pressure and bad attitudes from a few temps and company workers, yet I never complained. Then, when I set my foot down and lay down some orders, some company workers and temp workers reported me to supervisors, and I got reprimanded. All out of spite. This company truly requires a cultural and systemic cleansing. It must be straightened up. If I were the owner, I would make changes in the best interests of the workers and implement a far more productive and stress-free positive work environment. One major change I would make is to emphasize hiring permanent workers and cutting out the revolving door of temp workers. Build an environment that would make workers want to join the company permanently and feel appreciated. Have the employment agencies recruit temp-to-hire workers for the company. Offer higher wages, stable benefits, rewarding incentives, and a family-oriented atmosphere. Don't use agency workers/temps as disposable numbers or units. Be compassionate and humanitarian. Get involved with your workers. Talk to them, talk with them, not at them. Listen to your workers. Take consideration regarding comments, concerns, questions, and suggestions. Hold meetings once or twice a week, on Mondays or on Mondays and Fridays. Motivate your workers. Build enthusiasm and positive energy within the company. Quit the belittlement, condescending comments and remarks, sarcasm, and the dark humor just to only serve yourselves, managers, supervisors, and leads! Have hands-on training with certified/designated/qualified workers. Just imagine how much better this company would benefit from these changes.
