The food is well prepared, though sometimes the portions are on the small side. I also wish the meat in the sisig was grilled. I wouldn't recommend sisig to anyone who's not used to gamey flavors. The ambiance isn't great for lunch. The interior is kinda dark and it smells slightly of stale oil. I wish the door was propped open to let in the breeze.

Our family wanted to check out this spot, they serve an array of Filipino dishes that have been amped up and modernized by their master Chef, this is next level Philippine cuisine. Each dish we ordered did not dissapoint, their sauces and homemade relishes like "atchara" made every single dish very flavorful, we can't wait to return and sample more items on the menu. Tocino, Chicken inasal, bistek and lechon were some of our faves. Also happy they have a West LA location at Sawtelle, we came from the valley so this was an easy drive for us.

I've had a hard time finding Filipino food close to my home, so I always make a goal of seeking it out when I come back to LA. I'm often cautious when ordering Filipino food as it can be extremely heavy (especially when my favorite dishes include fatty pork), but the food here was such a refreshing take on the home-style dishes I'm used to. I got the sisig ($16) and the pork pieces were finely chopped with a delicate sauce on top of fluffy rice and a wonderfully runny egg in the center. The pickled onions and herbs on top perfectly balanced the fat with acidity. The portion size was perfect, and would recommend each person getting one dish and sharing to try different things. We also shared the Brussel sprouts, which were crispy and soft at the same time, and drenched in a sweet-savoury sauce. I'm still thinking about them. I'm so impressed. This was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back.
