Dr. Alfred Lavi, DO

They are offering very bad service, if you call to make an appointment they put you on hold for a long time, and you never finish the call there you are left in the air, on several occasions I have had to hang up after more than 18 minutes on hold and they didn't even call back, because for what? to stay there waiting wasting time? In addition to this, the opening hours indicated here are not the real ones, they emphasize that the hours are Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 11:30 am and then from 2 to 4 pm and on Fridays from 9 am to 11 am, as well as when the staff wants to leave quickly, I requested a rescheduling of an appointment that I had missed and many ifs and buts to be able to recover it, apparently this type of request gives the staff a lot of work, too I requested a flu vaccine for my children and they told me to take them to CVS. Definitely very bad attention.

I started seeing Dr Lavi about 6 months ago after a friend recommended him. I could not be more pleased with my experience thus far, he has been an exceptional provider. His office staff are courteous and efficient, they help to get me in and out of my appointment within the hour. Dr Lavi takes his time, he gives you his full attention during the appointment and really listens to your concerns. It was the first time I have ever truly felt that my concerns were heard, valued, and incorporated in my plan of care. I cant recommend Dr Lavi and his clinic enough, if youre looking for a new provider, he is the one!

Dr. Alfred Lavi and his whole team are the best. They take the time to hear your concerns, explain your diseases or conditions in lay terms, and discuss management options. They provide the best care and I could not recommend a better doctor!

I debated writing this review for a long time. I was initially happy with Dr. Lavi when I first started seeing him in 2020. However, things went downhill in 2022. The bulk of the problem was how the office was run rather than Dr. Lavi himself. In 2022, wait times were excessive (over 2 hours) even with an appointment. During visits, Id see a different student doctor each time and not Dr. Lavi. The visits themselves were long as the students needed to ask approval for everything. Often theyd ask me the same questions multiple times. When I called the office the call would regularly disconnect or Id be put on hold for a long time and have to describe my needs over an over. The final straw was when they refused to provide the standard treatment for my medical issue. Instead, they kept pushing me to take a new brand-only prescription that was being marketed by one of the Kardashians. I explained that I was uncomfortable taking this new prescription and expected my insurance to deny coverage. I asked if I could have the medication that Id taken before, which had been prescribed to me many times over the years by several doctors. They refused and I reluctantly yielded. Sure enough, my insurance denied coverage. I once again asked to get the medicine I originally wanted. Instead, they wanted to try and get approval for this expensive prescription. The approval could take weeks and Id be in pain the whole time. On my last visit to the office one of Dr. Lavis staff suggested I just pay for the new prescription out of pocket and then get reimbursed by my insurance. The prescription in question costs $4000 and my insurance would not have reimbursed me for it as they would never cover it in the first place since there are many alternative drugs. After that, I started going to urgent care for my medical needs. I was able to get the original prescription I needed right away and it resolved my medical issue within days. I was very happy when the time came to change my insurance and my doctor.
