I was referred to the Van Oorschot Law Group, specifically Cara B., by a friend of mine who is also a lawyer (but practices a different type of law). Best. Referral. Ever!Words could never express how grateful I am to Cara and the amazing job she did for me. I have to believe that my case was much more difficult than most cases. Not only is my ex extremely difficult to deal with, but she had a pitbull of an attorney who tried to pull every punch in the book. Cara never wavered. She handled the case with the utmost professionalism and integrity, stood hard and fast in the face of very difficult opposition, and got me the results I was so desperately after. Most importantly, SHE KEPT MY KIDS SAFE!I have had other lawyers in the past take advantage of the desperate and emotional state this case created for me, but not Cara - she was extremely sensitive and meticulous with me throughout handling my case. It was totally clear her expertise is second to none. Her demeanor in court was both intelligent and tenacious. While I do pray I will never need to contact a family lawyer again, I am so glad to know that if I ever do I have Cara's number stored in more phone, and I will have no hesitation calling!I highly recommend her as an incredible family law attorney!

Long story short, this lawyer and her law firm are in the business of spending all of your money through an elongation of one's case. Run, don't walk away! I was fired and threatened with legal action (By this Ms. Oorschot) because of a delay in trying to assess whether or not to send the additional funds that were "required" to bring the case to a settlement. It was the best thing that could have happened as my new attorney ($100.00 less an hour) was successful in acquiring a settlement which netted me an additional $130,000 in less than 2 months. Ms. Oorschot wanted at least an additional $5000.00 to try and bring the case to a settlement (again), my new attorney achieved the above for a total of $2100.00 to this point.
