Came for a teeth cleaning. Charged my insurance for the cleaning, but didnt actually do it. They just brushed my teeth. Also, pretty expensive!

The dentist was great, but they claimed me that my procedure was not covered by my insurance. It took a bunch of work for me to figure out it was actually covered by my insurance and that they overcharged me by a lot. Would not recommend.

I truly wish I could give them half a star. This is my assigned dental care and I am not happy with how they treated me. From the start, I was very upfront that I want a simple teeth cleaning. They took a bunch of x-rays and then the receptionist came to me and said I would need a deep cleaning and said it's $200 a quadrant and hence, $800. The dentist was convincing me to get my wisdom teeth removed too. It felt like they are very intent on you spending money. I said I need time to think, and called them a week later saying I would need a simple cleaning. They gave me an appointment one month later. They called me several times in the interim reminding me of the appointment. The day of the appointment, I'm on my way and this receptionist calls me up half an hour before the appointment - and says that the dentist is looking at your paperwork and it seems you need a deep cleaning. I said I specifically requested for a simple cleaning. She said "Well, you brush your teeth everyday - that is your cleaning, you don't have to come here if you want a dental cleanup. You don't have to come if you want a cleanup". If that was what they intended, they should have been clear about it from the start. What irked me most was the lady's attitude about telling me that brushing my teeth everyday is a dental cleanup. Please avoid this place if you want peace of mind regarding dental work!

Thank you for your review. Please bring proof of insurance benefits and I will refund you any overcharge. The insurance company representative are not very familiar with all conditions of teeth so they claim it is covered benefit. I like to see the benefits that they assigned yuh and if there is an error I will gladly rectify that overcharge

As a multi specialty dental clinic with me, Dr. Bijan Afar , board certified periodontist, as the owner I am proud of the excellent and ethical and appropriate care we provide for all patients. Although I am sorry that you had a bad experience in my office but I stand 100% behind our staff diagnosis and treatment plan have to follow the standard of care and we can’t do what patient decide it is best for them. We have an ethical and legal obligation to treat every patient appropriately. HIPPA laws prevent me to acknowledge if you are patient or not. And I can’t disclose your condition or treatment needs so unfortunately my hands are tied to explain why you needed deep cleaning. Just as general rule if you have deep infected pockets and no deep cleaning ever in your life you need deep cleaning. You can be upfront but if you get an infection and lose a tooth, in the eyes of legal system the specialist is the one that’s responsible
