Angelica's Daycare

After our sons daycare unexpectedly shut down at the end of 2021 we visited more than a half dozen daycares in the area and when we walked out of Angelicas I sent our deposit before we even backed out of our parking spot. Our son loves Angelicas and all his teachers, friends and what he does every day. When we had our daughter it wasnt even a question of where we wanted her to go but if they would have space for her at Angelicas. Not only do our kids have friends from Angelicas but we do as well. The daycare is clean, organized, structured but more importantly they care about the kids. When our daughter inexplicably didnt drink from her bottle at daycare (she had no problems at home) they went and purchased a different bottle to ensure she got her milk. I could provide a dozen alternative examples but hope you get the picture. Where you put your kids is a high stakes and stressful decision and you cant do better than Angelicas.

Let me start by saying I had multiple horrible experiences with daycares before I found Angelicas Daycare. With that in mind, my standards were very high. However, as soon as we toured and met everyone, I knew this would be the right choice. The classrooms are clean and fully equipped with many activities for the kids. The teachers provide the kids with healthy meals and introduce them to different foods allowing them to explore their likes and dislikes. They always have creative arts and crafts activities for them to do, which is so important to me; you can tell they take their time to make unique projects for the kids and families. I am also constantly receiving the sweetest pictures throughout the day of my daughter and her adventures. Most importantly, I feel that my daughter is safe, you see so many crazy stories where people enter daycares to harm children, and this has never been a concern for me because of the secure setup they have. All the teachers are so sweet, and the kids love them. One night as we were getting ready for bedtime, my daughter told me we had to make space in our house for her teacher Alba and two of her school friends because she wanted them to sleep over; hearing this made my heart melt. To know my daughter felt loved enough that she even wanted to bring her teacher home with her gave me so much peace of mind. I'm eternally grateful to have found a home away from home for my baby and all the teachers who continue to treat her like their own.

We have two boys with strong wills and incredible energy. Each has posed their own challenges to us as parents. For each, Angelica's daycare has been their introduction to the world outside of our home, and we have been so fortunate to have the team at Angelica's teaching and caring for our children. For the past 6 years, the team at Angelica's Daycare have made a home away from home for each of our boys. Through the wonderful caretakers, they have learned everything from the ABC's to potty-training! (We didn't have to potty train either child - they just came home and had it down!) Our children constantly come home with art and smiles after a day of singing, playing, dancing and creating! Each member of the team is skilled, caring, positive and FUN!!! At Angelica's Daycare, kids learn about boundaries and rules while also growing their ability to show and experience empathy among others. Even when we are having a tough morning with one of our children, I know that our daycare not only cares about how our child is doing, but how his family is doing. Communication is timely and ongoing. We ALWAYS know that we can communicate with caretakers when our child is upset, not eating or sleeping well, excited about a particular topic or experiencing stress. It means SO MUCH to us as parents to have this space that brings joy and love to our children no matter the ups and downs we experience as parents. We receive updates all the time, whether its simply sharing joy or a request to dialogue about a challenge our child is presenting to the world. I could go on and on, but will close with this: Angelica's Daycare and the wonderful human beings who run it demonstrate EXACTLY why childcare is so critical for the health, security and wellness of working families, and further embody a system that helps young children build resilience, love for learning and care for fellow human beings. AND they throw the most amazing holiday parties for the kids!! We are excited that our youngest will soon transition to TK in our local public school, but will ALWAYS see this special place on Delongpre Avenue as an extension of our family. Ms. Tanya and every other teacher at Angelicas Daycare were wonderful and loving. Sent my 2-month old daughter and they provided a nurturing and safe environment for our girl. We moved out of the state but miss everyone at Angelicas.
