He is a highly skilled and perceptive legal professional as well as a genuinely compassionate person. I was expunging a 15-year-old reckless-driving disposition and Mr. Ruff represented me in the matter. I reached out to him frequently for advice on the paperwork, filing and court appearance. Mr. Ruff was patient and generous with his time. He even represented me in front of the judge when this was not part of my original expectation. Beyond being a brilliant man, he extends something that is rare these days simple, human kindness. Attorneys are expected to represent their clients zealously, but this man went above and beyond. If you are looking for an attorney who treat you as like your big brother? You are on a right page. After consulting with other attorneys, I chose to retain Mr.Ruff for my case last March. He is transparent, compassionate, and very knowledgeable about the process. I felt that he is immediately responsive and started working on the case as soon as possible. I highly recommend this attorney. He was hired to represent a family member for an underage DUI which occurred in Los Angeles. The officers involved were from El Segundo and Hermosa Beach, at a DWI sobriety checkpoint. He took a breath test which was way above the legal limit and was arrested and spent the night in jail. At the time we thought it would be a good lesson for him but once we realized the consequences it would have on his license and permanent record we decided to hire this attorney. Right from the start the lawyer laid out his approach to the case and his experience in similar matters. He really knew what he was talking about. The case went to Court and we were kept informed all the way along. He gave us a range of possibilities and potential outcomes which was very reassuring. The day of the trial he was able to get all the charges dropped and exclude the DUI by presenting legal arguments to exclude the breath results. He then went to the DMV and won a return of the drivers license that was confiscated on the night of arrest. In the end the entire incident was removed from his record. The experience with this attorney was very excellent. The California DMV did follow suit and erase the entire suspension from the record. Thanks again.
