Purchased pants in 2022. I went in for proper measurements, lo and behold these pants dont fit. Received used pants dated 2020 with someone elses initials written on the inside of them. Took them back in and was told no returns or refunds because the pants had been altered already. I was investing into high quality clothing that would last a long time, instead I got used pants. They couldnt care less.

Both the five star and one star reviews for Schaeffer's Garment Hotel are accurate. This is a cool and trendy shop. However, the attitude of the business and employees is as you would expect for a high end clothing retailer on Sunset. The customer is always wrong, and they can't be bothered. It is part of their identity, and not something that we should expect will change - just patron their business with caution. If you have something of significant monetary or sentimental value, it is a risky proposition to bring it here. LA County has far superior alterations specialists that have a better understanding of how to service and retain customers. Their denim is high quality, but the sizing is very non-traditional; it's best to go into the shop and be measured. If you need a re-sizing or repair, they will not make it easy for you.
