Bamboo Chinese Cuisine

i stayed in the hotel in the same parking lot and went down to Bamboo for take out. ended up spending $40 for two dishes: fried rice and kungpao chicken. the staff had a poker face and never once smiled and only answered in one-word grunts. i ordered in chinese and he gave me a negative vibe as if his wife had just run off with someone! i expected the menu items to be pricey (what can you say; it is one mile from the entrance of zion); but i did not expect the restaurant to add an automatic 15% tip for takeout. so what am i tipping exactly, for standing around and waiting for my food? automatic tip for sit-down orders i can understand, but for takeout??? lastly, the food. this restaurant probably hasn't changed its menu/recipe for 30+ years. the fried rice reeks of soy sauce and had very few pieces of the beef that i paid extra for. i'd say Panda Express makes better (and cleaner) fried rice. kung pao chicken was greasy and the chicken probably came semi-prepped because it tasted exactly the same (dry and flavorless) as the other chinese restaurants you come across in the middle of nowhere. as a chinese person, i am once again disappointed by the lack of performance of yet another chinese restaurant that reinforces the stereotype that chinese food is greasy, gross, and now overpriced.

DO NOT ORDER. Worst customer service ever and my garlic chicken had a staple in it. I bit down on it and when i pulled it out it was a staple. Hugeeee safety problem.
