I am moving on September 1, and I love the place. The people in the leasing office are wonderful, polite, and helpful. Vans on Fairfax is one of the most elegant apartments I have looked at during my long, arduous work trying to find a place suitable for me. I love their decor. Its very futuristic, and I love the way they have. Their townhouse is incorporated into the community. Vinz on Fairfax is also located in what I consider one of the best locations in Los Angeles.

As a family member to a resident of the Vinz on Fairfax luxury complex, I feel compelled to share my familys harrowing experience. What was once promised as an oasis of opulence has devolved into a nightmare of insecurity and shattered trust. There have been for cases of burglary at the complex since February that the complex refuses to share with tenants, my family member being one of them. In the past 30 days, the supposedly secure community has suffered multiple break-ins and robberies. The management's response? A resounding silence. It's as if they've donned invisible blindfolds, blissfully unaware of the fear that now permeates our hallways. The security system is about as effective as a cardboard cutout cop. The cameras? Not enough and several blind spots. The access gates? More like revolving doors for criminals. The building management has done nothing but sending automated emails about rent increases. But when it comes to safety, they're eerily silent. They have turned a blind eye to ensuring our safety. If you value your safety, sanity, and peace of mind, steer clear of The Vinz on Fairfax. The only luxury here is the audacity of management to charge exorbitant rents while turning a blind eye to our plight.

Staff is amazing - kind and always going above and beyond. My two star review is a rate of overall value. One star for the amazing staff and one star for the actual apartment room/appliances/flooring etc. I didnt do my due diligence when moving in. Feel free to negotiate your base rent using these points if you choose to move in: There is no guest parking - your guests pay a fee as if theyre visiting the grove You pay $20 start fee for getting your packages delivered here (lockers). When I initially signed my lease they told me it was $3/day if you picked up your package late - now I get charged $10/day I pickup late. You have three days to pickup, which gets annoying when you have a busy week. The back gate doesnt work every other month They do not provide itemized bills of your bills - the trash bill here is ridiculously high (average $85/month) and its not even valet trash? When I inquired about the high trash fees, I learned its a shared community cost - so when someone improperly throws away trash I.E. a resident moves out and leaves furniture on the sidewalk Vs properly dispensing, youre paying for the property to remove it. You are consequently charged for others negligence. They accidentally over charged me for the water bill (later corrected) but, still, the time taken to check and email is so inconvenient. Youre better off paying the extra $200/month and living at the One Museum Apartments. They come with actual security 24/7, free espresso/coffee machine in lobby, full Equinox-inspired gym, rooftop pool/hangout area and all your guests get free parking in a gated garage. Not to mention, its closer to the grove, park, etc. Vinz is on a busy street (windows are not properly sealed so you can hear the loud traffic 24/7, and the shades dont block out the street side lights, I have to wear earplugs and an eye mask every night and I can STILL hear the traffic through my plugs) so logistically (traffic getting into the apartment) too, this place is not the best bang for your buck.

Hi Adam,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience your family member has had, and we appreciate your patience as we address the security concerns. Our office has taken immediate action to enhance security measures within the building. While some changes cannot be implemented overnight, we want to assure you that we are committed to making the property safer for all residents. Here are the steps we’ve taken:Increased Security Patrols: We have hired additional security personnel to patrol the blind spots and vulnerable areas of the property. Their presence will help deter any unauthorized activity.Camera Improvements: We are actively working on improving our surveillance camera system. While this process may take some time, rest assured that we are investing in better technology to enhance overall security.Theft Protection Locks: We have already begun installing theft protection locks on all doors. These locks provide an added layer of security and prevent unauthorized access.Enhanced Gate Security: We are also implementing extra security measures to improve the height of our gates. We understand that your requested changes are important, and we appreciate your understanding that they cannot be implemented instantly. We are committed to making gradual improvements to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. If you have any further concerns or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to our office. We value your feedback and are dedicated to creating a secure living environment for everyone.Thank you
