    Weve known Shannon and Brad since we bought our house in Rose Park in 2000, and they were our neighbors up the street. Over the years, we saw how well Shannon and her team marketed other Rose Park homes. When it finally came time for us to sell, we knew theyd do the best job for us. Selling our place from out-of-state was inevitably stressful, but Shannon, Brad, and David kept us completely up-to-date on the status of the sale throughout the process. We were very pleased that our buyer agreed to use Shannons team as her agent as well - it streamlined the sale process and saved us a substantial amount on commissions and other selling costs. We were very happy with the price that we ultimately agreed to, and the speed with which the sale was completed. We would happily recommend The Shannon Jones Team to other property owners in Rose Park and the greater Long Beach area. They know the market and know how to take good care of their clients.

    *edited after response from Shannon- They are very nice and probably great if you are just buying/selling normal homes. I have probate properties and was given their name from my attorney. I had my pick of companies and did a lot of research, literally agents begging for my listings! One property was going to be an easy sell, nice home, good condition. The other home was in need of some repairs and building was more of a challange. I live out of state so that made things very hard too. Things started out well, good communication and such. They spent a lot of time getting estimates but then decided that property was too much work and quit... Who quits 2 sales? Attorney was shocked as was I. I wasted valuable time and energy. Don't use them for Probate sales!!!! They may tell you it's their wheel house but they don't acutally want to do the work, when work is needed. Also I was told I would be working with Shannon, once they got the first listing everyting switched to her husband. I hired Shannon, not Brad. I could tell Brad was annoyed with me, maybe because I was a woman? He missed several key issues at one property (Water damage in bedroom and family room around the windows as they never opened the blinds damage I found in about 10 min). Shannon is the front woman- and Brad does all the work. With a lot of moving parts you should meet them both. When it became clear the smaller unit would be a bit more challenging they bailed. Brad asked me every week when I was going the give them the second home as a listing. I wasn't ready to sell that as it needed to be cleared out and fixed. Our agreement was they got the smaller unit to sell first to see how it went then they would get the bigger more $$ house. He kept pressuring me to sign the second listing agreement. As we were about to have the home go active they were leaving the country for 2 weeks. When I questioned who was doing what while they were gone during the critical final stretch of getting the home on the market they got offended. As the client it was not unexpected that I would have questions and as to who was taking care getting the house active during their 2 week vacation. They did put in alot of time with zero return but then quit, which was shocking. They didn't like when I asked them to back off bugging me for the second listing. They also didn't like when I asked who was actually going to get the house staged as promised and active.Many emails/phone calls ended when can we get the other home listed?? They are likely fine for normal sales. I would not recommend them for probate or as an out of state seller. I lost valuable time that I can't get back. ** Updated after her response, I have re-read the texts sent and all were professional. Being out of state with 2 properties, tenants, utilities that were off, probate, lawyers, repairs, clean out and a million moving parts on 2 homes and living thousand's of miles away it still doesn't seem that unreasonable. Most texts were short on my part and professional in the context of the 2 homes, living in another state & not knowing CA laws or the probate process they were appropriate. She is just angry and doesn't like the feedback.

Selling our place from out-of-state was inevitably stressful, but Shannon, Brad, and David kept us completely up-to-date on the status of the sale throughout the process. We were very pleased that our buyer agreed to use Shannons team as her agent as well - it streamlined the sale process and saved us a substantial amount on commissions and other selling costs. We were very happy with the price that we ultimately agreed to, and the speed with which the sale was completed.

In 25 years of selling real estate, I can count on one hand the times I've suggested to a client that they'd be happier with another agent. The reviewer's question "Who quits 2 sales?" is a good one, particularly in a market where demand is high and listing inventory is low. I’m not surprised that agents were "begging" for the reviewer's listings, and passing on not one but two potential home sales wasn’t a decision we made lightly. As the reviewer stated, we'd invested a good deal of our team's time and energy in gathering quotes, providing recommendations, and helping to prepare a property for sale. Yet after 454 texts, emails, and phone calls in a relatively short time frame, it became clear that we weren't going to be able to meet this client's expectations and so we suggested she would be happier with another agent. Despite what's stated in the review, our inability to meet expectations had nothing to do with the property needing lots of work, with it being a probate, or with the seller being out of state. We've successfully assisted many clients sell properties with all of those conditions many times.. There are a number of "facts" stated in the review that don't correspond with our recollection of events, but given the difficulty with communication, that's not surprising. We are happy this client was able to hire another agent who better met her needs.
