I saw Dr. Lavid about a year ago and my experience was very negative. He didnt listen to me about my specific needs and concerns that specifically a psychiatrist needed to help me with. The only thing he did was change the release time from 24 hr. to 12 hr. on a medication my general health doctor already had me on. THATS IT. I didnt need to spend $400 (!!!!!) to have a visit with a doc who acted as if he really didnt care about what my concerns were and just rush the visit. He said we could address those on the follow up. No thanks. I was able to receive great care on my first visit with another psychiatrist and seeing the HUGE difference between the two is what has encouraged me to write a review today.

We went to Dr. Lavid as a referral from my son's therapist as he battled anxiety and depression. In our first meeting Dr. Lavid prescribed a high dosage of Lexipro (anti-depressant) that immediately triggered maniac episodes. This lead to a car crash and arrest and a follow-up visit to Dr. Lavid. We were dismissed in an abrasive, accusatory tone and told to join a drug rehab program......after re-assessing our situation and looking at other medical options, we found an inpatient programs that immediately diagnosed the problem as bipolar 2. Needless to say, my son's condition and return to normal life has been swift and welcomed because of the right diagnosis and treatment plan......my son is the second young man we know that lives here in Long Beach and has had this experience with Dr. Lavid who is abrasive and condescending and combined with the wrong diagnosis and treatment plan each ended up with making a bad situation worse, for the patient and family.

We are the family members of one of Dr. Lavid patients for over 10 years who is of black descent. We can't thank Dr. Lavid enough. He is truly and blessing from the Most High Elohim. If you want to know how many stars Dr. Lavid deserves, look towards heaven at night to see the stars. Through all the dark reviews that is being tossed on him. Keep being a blessing to all your patients Dr. Lavid, we love you.

I have known Dr Lavid for about 15 years. I see him at least twice a year. He has always been very professional and responsive. His office personnel have always been professional and patient. I have been very satisfied with my treatment and will confidently continue to see him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lavid for over 10 years. Looking back it if wasn't for him I wouldn't be where I am today. I can still remember how I felt when I first came to his office, nothing, zero emotion, helpless, hopeless and hanging on by a thread. I felt nothing but I wanted to scream for help. I went to many doctors before and all of them either dismissed what I said, didn't believe me or thought I was looking for attention. By the time we got to Dr. Lavid I was expecting it to be the same thing but I was very wrong. He was able to see what was wrong with me, looking past my race and background to see that I was truly in need of help. With Dr. Lavid's help he was able to layout the foundation I need to begin my long healing journey to get back to where I used to be, happy and healthy and loving myself once again. In fact I feel as though I'm much better than I originally was. Thank you and bless you Dr. Lavid for seeing the real me and not giving up on me like the others.
